The Grove Series: MAMMA MIA! Special Event + VIP Preview Screening
On July 8th 2018, Bloggers Who Brunch and Universal Pictures hosted the Mamma Mia! Special Event at The Grove. To celebrate the upcoming film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, top-tier influencers and the general public were invited to partake in a number of themed activations and photo opportunities that built excitement and awareness for the movie release.
Onsite activations included a Mamma Mia! branded floral wall, Grecian-inspired flower crowns by Flower Gypsies, limited edition Mamma Mia! frozen yogurt by Pinkberry, cocktail customization station by Lillet, Mamma Mia! inspired sounds by DJ Base, photo booth fun by Bosco, and a special surprise for all attendees! Dressed in their signature overalls, the Mamma Mia! street team surprised the entire crowd with a choreographed dance sequence in sync with The Grove’s Mamma Mia! themed fountain show. After the fountain show, it was off to the event space where the team performed another dance number for (and with) the entire crowd!
In addition to the activations, the first 25 attendees at the event received two tickets for a VIP preview screening of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again at The Grove!
Hosted at The Grove’s Pacific Theatres on July 10th, the VIP preview screening was attended by top-tier influencers, tastemakers, and winners from Sunday’s Special Event.
Upon arrival, all attendees were welcomed by a Mamma Mia! branded photo booth and gifted Mamma Mia! flash tattoos. Attendees also enjoyed complimentary popcorn, drinks, and Mamma Mia!/Bloggers Who Brunch branded Sprinkles cupcakes.
After receiving all of their goodies, it was time for the special preview screening of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Upon leaving the theater, all attendees gushed about how amazing the movie was and couldn’t stop dancing and singing all of the songs!
